KLR650 87′ to 2020 US made Drill Through Subframe Upgrade Kit by KLR guru Eagle Mike A very popular modification. Eliminates the weaker 2 bolt setup in favor of one bolt all the way through for the upper subframe attach point. No more worry about keeping the bolts tight, or the original bolts breaking. Select your kit in the options area. If you have the SW Motech or Tusk crash guards you really really want this kit. Drilling out broken bolts is no fun at all. The universal will give you both upper bolts, the upper spacer for the standard kit, and both lengths of lower bolts in case you have bars that use that point to attach. Drill bits supplied are industrial grade high speed steel. If you don’t want to drill through the frame we offer stronger bolt kits that replace the factory bolts as another item. The factory style setup isn’t as strong and reliable as the drill through kit though. IMPORTANT – new universal kit. Too many people were ordering the wrong kit, or needing a different kit later.
