Description This is a 6-day course, if you want more advanced training take a look at our Wilderness First Responder options. You will learn intermediate level CPR & first aid for outdoor recreation and wilderness professionals who work closer to professional EMS. Not the standard urban first aid training. The Advanced Wilderness First Aider course teaches participants how to respond to possible life-threatening emergencies and serious medical problems commonly encountered in the wilderness environment. The course practicals and scenarios are entirely wilderness oriented and many of the sessions take place outdoors. The course is very practical and intensive. This course offers a higher level of training than the Wilderness First Aider course and is aimed at more serious adventure travelers and wilderness professionals who require a high level of training but are still closer to EMS response such as lodge based guides and supported trekking guides, etc. If you are a high level remote operational adventure or nature guide we recommend you look at the Wilderness First Responder course.
